Network
PokerStars operate from their own PokerStars network. It’s fast, smooth and easy on the eye. I love how you can customise practically everything. There’s a wide range of options to pick from table, cards, avatars and animation. 5/5
Software
Compatible on everything as far as I can tell. 5/5
Banking & Payment Methods
Visa, Mastercard, Neteller, PayPal and Skrill all available for deposits and also cash outs. PokerStars also have the fast deposit feature to make depositing even easier. 5/5
Traffic
What can I say? This is the largest poker site in the world. Tens of thousands play at any time on PokerStars. Login on a Sunday and it can reach 100,000. The 7 day average at the time of this was 14,000 people. 5/5
Support
PokerStars claim to have a 24/7 customer service support team however there is room for improvement. It’s been a bit of a complaint in the past that they are slow to reply. They have a great help centre too though. 4/5
Rewards
A personalised rewards system is operated. You earn reward points as you play real money games. As you see your progress bar fill, you will win chests with rewards. Check out the quick video below. 4/5
Competition
There’s good and bad here. Being the biggest site draws in alot of recreational players, there are a lot of fishes around, particularly in low stakes tournaments. However, PokerStars is the poker player’s site, if that makes sense. It didn’t diversify from an online casino. Poker is it’s bread and butter and many professionals make their living here. This is not ideal, but fortunately there are so many players that it isn’t a serious concern. Just exercise good table selection.4/5
Cons
- Online casino features too easy to access
- Fewer bonus options for existing players
- Potentially needs more freerolls
Conclusion PokerStars Review
PokerStars is the arguably the best online poker site available. They have thousands of games ranging from micro to high stakes. They have massive tournament series like SCOOP and WCOOP. They’re trustworthy and you know your money is safe with them. They are at the edge of innovation, creating new products like Zoom and Spin and Go’s. In short, I can’t recommend these enough. So much so, that most of my training videos are played on PokerStars.
